Mark E. Sumpter is a man who has been dubbed the "Short Sale Expert" and is a very sought after speaker on how to buy and sell pre-foreclosure properties as well as coaching his wealth building methods at various real estate investor events that creates an interactive learning atmosphere for both seasoned real estate experts and novice traders.
Mark E. Sumpter was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended the Central Missouri State University, where he earned himself a degree in Criminal Justice and was promptly employed as a police officer by the Missouri Police Department in Kansas City.
Even though Mark enjoyed being a police officer, the long hours made it impossible to live the quality of life he wanted for his family. Mark remembers taking part in a police pursuit and it was then that it dawned on him just how perilous the life of a police officer was.
He bumped into an old friend, also a former police officer who became a full time real estate investor. Due to his friends guidance, he ultimately made the choice which did change his life. He began investing part time and in his first year Mark made $496,000 in pre-foreclosures using none of his own cash.
It was after his partner gave birth to their first child that he took a break from his work. He assisted his then wife, helped her to take care of their little one and continued investing in real estate. After a single month he recognised that he was spending much more time with his family whilst making a good income by means of real estate investing. He decided to leave the police force and make real estate investment his full time profession.
He made time to work with a "power team" to establish a two year and five year plan to accomplish his investment goals. The day after his 32nd birthday, he had a few great closings and walked away with over $200,000. He recalls saying to his then wife that they never had to worry about money again. He instantly went to the telephone, called his creditors and paid off all of his debt. He felt empowered.
Mark E. Sumpter went on to create The Wealth College Inc, and has created a complete, systematic approach to buying and selling pre-foreclosures. At one time, Mark and his associate were simultaneously handling 88 different short sales deals. The only feasible way has been using his incredible Secrets of Short Sales system which he has perfected over the years.
Mark believes that in order to be successful in real estate investment you have got to get out of your comfort zone and overcome the fear of the unfamiliar. His mentor and friend, the late Ernie Kessler conveyed to him the importance on educating yourself in the most modern systems and go to seminars on a regular basis.
One of Marks favorite sayings is: Fail, Forward, Fast. This means to Mark that there is no such thing as a perfect deal, get out there and take action. If you make a mistake you can still learn a precious lesson and overcome your dread of the unknown.
Mark gets enjoyment from teaching others what he has learned and continues to learn. He benefits from schooling his students in his systems to influence their lives and attain their goals. Mark feels that he owes it to people to continue his pursuits.
